Pili Dressel, owner, has been shaping wood since she was 11 and her dad gave her a knife to whittle with. She went on to recieve her Masters in printmaking.

She has been teaching carousel carving through Woodcraft in St. Louis since 2000. Classes are now only offered as private, individual instruction. More information on her carving background can be found under the carousel horse section.

CRANKY CRICKET CREATIONS was officially formed in Febuary of 2007. Started from humble beginnings of making our own Christmas presents, we have since grown and participated in 23 fine art and fine craft shows this past year, including inivtations to Best of Missouri Market, Berea Craft Festival and Glenwood Arts Festival in Chicago! Our motivation is high-end, quality homegoods that are functional, as well as works of ART.

All creations are produced from non-endangerd, forest- friendly exotic and domestic hardwoods. Not only are you recieving top designed homegoods, but you are helping the environment! 5% of our sales go to support americanforest.org and NRDC.org.
